Preparation Step
Here is the common step that works for all the Christmas craft activities we are going to do below.
Pick around 30-40 Popsicle sticks and paint them in green and red colors. Say, you are painting 30 green and 10 red color popsicles.
After painting, let the colors dry completely without any moisture. Because, a little amount of moisture may spoil the Popsicle sticks and do not stay in good condition for long days.
So, make sure your popsicles are completely dry before using for the activity.
Triangle Shape Christmas Tree
First, take three green colored Popsicle sticks of equal size and arrange them in triangle shape.
Then, glue on the sticks holding the stick in perfect positions. And then glue one more stick perpendicular to any side of the triangle.
As all the sides of the triangle are equal, we can take any side as the base. So, it is the best way to explain your kindergarten about geometric shapes as well.
At this stage, you can see the structure of Christmas tree. Decorate the tree using beads and stones. Glue a star shape at the apex of the tree. That’s it, your Christmas tree craft is ready for your Christmas celebrations.
Christmas Tree Craft 2
Pick a red colored Popsicle stick as base and stem of the Christmas tree. Now pick seven green Popsicle sticks
Place the green Popsicle over the red vertical base Popsicle based on their lengths. Follow the bigger to smaller format to arrange the Popsicle to form a tree shape.
Make sure there are no spaces between the green colored popsicles. You are done! Now, you can see the Christmas tree.
Decorate it with different colored stones and beads. Glue a star at the apex of the tree.
Christmas Tree Craft using Satin Ribbon
Now cut the satin ribbon about 6 inches, 4 inches, and 2 inches length each in two numbers.
Take a red colored Popsicle stick and use it as a base or trunk of the Christmas tree.
Firstly, pick 6 inches satin ribbons and glue it on the trunk part at 3/4th level in the shape of leaves.
Secondly, pick 4 inches satin ribbon and attach next to it in the same way and glue it to the trunk. Follow the same with the 2 inched satin ribbon as well.
Now, you can see the Christmas tree shape. Decorate the craft tree using stars.
This is the simple and easy craft to do among all the other simple craft ideas to make Christmas tree.
Triangle Shaped Christmas Tree using Threads
Make a triangle shape using Popsicle sticks and glue a red colored Popsicle to any side of its base as a trunk.
Now punch board pins to the triangle shape frame using your free hands and energy.
Leave half inch distance in between the pins so that we can easily wrap the green colored thread around it.Tie a knot at the beginning point where you start wrapping thread around the sticks and also give a knot at the end point.
Do not wrap the thread too tightly to avoid unnecessary cutting off the threads. Apply glue if necessary to keep the thread in place. Now color the Popsicle stick with green color.
Now give a flower décor at the apex of the tree. That’s it!
Christmas Tree Craft using Paper Plates
Cut the paper plate in to four equal parts such that you can see cone shaped paper plates.
Color it using green acrylic paint and let it dry completely.
Now use red color Popsicle stick as trunk.
You can increase the trunk length by gluing two Popsicle stick as trunk color sticks.Make sure you are gluing the cone shapes facing the base part downwards and the tip part towards the tip of the trunk.
Decorate the base of the cone shapes using beads.
