Making Popsicle Stick Christmas Snowflakes

Here are the items required to make wonderful Christmas snowflake ornaments.
- 1 pack of Popsicle Stick (the best thing is: in one pack we get nearly 200 number of sticks which are more than enough to make)
- Glitter
- Glue
- Water Color Paints
- Satin Ribbons
- Craft Decorates like Stars, beads, strings, etc.

Instructions to Create Different models of Snowflakes
Let us see the instructions step-by-step.
Model 1:
Take four popsicles sticks and color it with your favourite color. We used purple color in this post.
You can choose to paint regular popsicle sticks or use colored ones directly. Dab a small amount of glue at the center of one stick and attach the other stick over the glue perpendicular to each other.
That means we are creating a ‘plus’ shape with the help of two Popsicle sticks.
Then, take another two colored Popsicle sticks and glue them at the same centre point in the form of ‘X’. Such that we created a flower shape using Popsicle sticks by layering one over the other.
Now, attach a hanging made of satin ribbon (again you can make the color choice) and decorate it with glitter pen by drawing sleeping and slanting lines.
Finally, in the middle glue a small stone to make more beautiful. That’s it! A beautiful snowflake is ready to go on the Christmas tree.
Model 2:
This is another fascinating snowflake Christmas ornament that looks beautiful and cheer up your Christmas celebrations.
As a first step, you need to pick up five Popsicle sticks and make pentagon shape. Then, attach them organised using glue. Note the meeting points of sticks.
Now, stick one end of the five more Popsicle sticks to the pentagon frame exactly in the center and glue the other free end at the meeting points of the pentagon frame.
Turn the frame upside down as shown in the figures. You can see a snowflake structure.
Then, paint the whole snowflake frame using acrylic or water color paints of your color choice.
We used blue, red, light and dark colored paints to make the snowflake more colorful and attractive.
You can chose your favourite colors or use even single color to make it beautiful. But make sure you are using bright colors.
Now the fun decoration part starts! Decorate the snowflake frame using glitters, pom poms, glittery mini snowflake craft décor, stones, etc.
We colored the outer frame with white colored paint and glued the satin ribbon at the top as a hanging.
Model 3:
In this model, we are going to combine two shapes i.e. a pentagon and a flower shape to create unique and innovative artificial snowflake.
This model might sound complicating but believe me it is such a simple and fun activity.
Firstly, create a pentagon shape using five Popsicle sticks. You can do this by layering them one over the other using glue. Then, create a flower shape frame with the help of five Popsicle sticks. Next, bring the two frames together and glue them at the meeting points.
Loop a satin ribbon to make hanging part. Attach it to the snowflake frame at its back. Decorate it using stone strings and glitters.
That’s it! A beautiful artificial snowflake Christmas ornament is ready to go on your Christmas tree. Or simply hang it to your doors and windows during Christmas season celebrations.
Model 4:
Model 4 sounds a little tricky one but just follow my instructions to create this model in a simple way.
Pick 6 Popsicle sticks and attach them together in the shape of flower by gluing all the ends at centre point leaving the other ends free.
Now take 6 Popsicle sticks and cut them in to two halves. Take two halves and glue them to the free ends in ‘V’ shape.
You can observe a beautiful snowflake shape after attaching all the Popsicle sticks together.
Then, paint the colors of your choice and decorate with glitters, stones, beads, etc.
Give hanging part using satin ribbon by making a loop and attach it to the snowflake frame at its back side.
